Developmental Evaluations:
Are you concerned about your child's cognitive, social, emotional or basic skill development? A developmental evaluation begins with a thorough examination of a young child's physical and developmental history. A qualified psychologist will work one-on-one with the child to evaluate developmental levels in multiple areas, such as cognitive, social and emotional. These evaluations yield invaluable information for parents and medical professionals who have concerns in the following areas: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delays or other developmental disorders. All evaluations include recommendations and potential follow-up activities, services and supports.
Educational Evaluations:
Is your child struggling to learn to read, write or work with math? An educational evaluation is an appropriate next step if a student, family, and/or school has concerns about academic progress. Educational evaluations combine targeted assessment tools with student observation and parent interviews to understand the student's unique learning profile. Our team prepares a thorough report outlining any learning challenges, recommendations for instructional support, and recommendations to help each student build self confidence and increase their knowledge of themselves as a learner.
Diagnostic Evaluations:
Are you concerned about your child's social skills, mental health or if something else is interfering with their success? In a diagnostic evaluation, our psychologists work with you and your child to answer more specialized diagnostic questions about their development and mental health. This evaluation is important when considering if a student has ADHD, anxiety, depression, an Autism Spectrum Disorder, or something else.
